Katie Stuart .net :: News
Hi everybody, contrary to popular belief, we're still around and have been working to make Katie Stuart .net bigger and better. To that end, we're pleased to announce the biggest update to the site since it was launched over 8 years ago. Since there are a lot of changes, they have been listed in here instead of on the front page.
You may have noticed that the site design has changed slightly. Over the years it has grown beyond the specifications of the original design and, as sections have been added, parts of the site have become inconsistent with other parts. It was therefore decided that a new style be chosen and everything be rewritten to accomodate the new style. Our hope is that the new site has a more consistent feel to it as well as improving accessibility.
When the picture gallery was first introduced, the layout restricted the number of images per appearance that it was practical to display. Since then, I have completely rewritten the gallery scripts and it now supports any number of pictures per gallery. For this reason, a number of galleries have been recaptured with many more images than before. As part of the updates, there are now over 300 additional images in the picture gallery. Here is a list of the galleries that are new or have been recaptured.
A Wrinkle In Time, Behind The Scenes Featurette - New Gallery, 77 Images
A Wrinkle In Time, Deleted Scenes - 5 New Galleries, 109 Images
Color Me Perfect - New Gallery, 14 Images
Dead Like Me 'Last Call' - Recaptured, 27 more images
Poltergeist: The Legacy 'Revelations' - Recaptured, 54 more images
The L Word 'Last Couple Standing' - New Gallery, 7 Images
The Outer Limits 'Lithia' - Recaptured, 38 more images
The Sisterhood Of The Traveling Pants - Recaptured, 14 more images
X2 - Recaptured, 5 more images
Be aware that this is only the first wave of updates and many more will be on their way just as soon as I get chance to complete them.
The trailers have been moved into the picture gallery which now enables them to be watched online rather than having to be downloaded. In addition, there are now a few more trailers than there were before.
The appearance list was getting somewhat cramped so it has now been completely redesigned to be more readable as well as to provide clear links to other areas of the site that are relevant to each appearance. From this page, you can also read a summary of each film, show or episode that Katie has been in and click to view further details if possible. For the first time ever, every single appearance that Katie has had now has at least a partial description. In addition to this, any of you looking to create a home collection of Katie appearances can find links at the bottom of the appearance information pages which will direct you to places where you can purchase them from.
Finally, the guestbook has returned. It has been completely rewritten from scratch and hopefully is a little more spam-proof than the last one so don't forget to sign it on your way out!
Due to the nature of a big upgrade like this, it is possible that there may be problems with it. If you find anything that doesn't work the way that it should, notice that anything is missing or simply want to offer an opinion or suggestion, please do not hesitate to contact us with feedback.
I wouldn't normally post news like this however there hasn't been a lot of news recently and this is considered to be somewhat important. After what seems like forever, extensive searches have resulted in success: The Crow: Stairway To Heaven has finally been released on DVD in its entirety in Holland.
Whilst subbed in Dutch as is normal, it is complete with all 22 episodes in full English, in Region 2 PAL format. So far I've only been able to locate copies of it on eBay but having obtained a copy, it is legitimate and complete. According to the website of the company licensed to release it in Holland (A-Film), it was released as long ago as the 17th March 2005.
More details can be located at the 'The Crow: Stairway To Heaven' DVD details page however unfortunately you'll have to look elsewhere to buy this as they don't appear to have sales channels directly through their site.
This is a big deal for me as it means quality copies of one of the best TV Series in the world so I thought I'd share my discovery with the rest of you peeps.
A-Film's DVD Information page for this DVD can be found here.
Well, this is the first update since 2005 creeped up on the world. Unfortunately I've not had much time to update the site although I've got a whole bunch of stuff to get up when I can. Anyways, enough rambling, let's get down to what you actually came here for.
As usual, the larger films tend to have a lot of rumours flying around and unfortunately there's one that has appeared regarding the Kitty Pryde character in X-Men 3.
It would seem that Comic Book Resources has received reports from a trusted source indicating that Marvel's production company is currently holding auditions for a '17-year-old female lead character' which is believed to be the Kitty Pryde character played by Katie Stuart in X2.
Whilst this is just conjecture based on rumour at the moment, things aren't looking good for Katie's reprisal of the role for the third film.
Hopefully we'll have more positive information soon and I'll post more information as soon as I get it.
See the full article posted at Comic Book Resources on 20th April 2005.
Seems that Katie's been quite busy recently as we have confirmation of another film that she has begun filming for. '14 Hours' began filming on the 11th November and is expected to finish on December 16th 2004 and is planned to be a TV movie for the TNT Network. There is currently no information on when it will air. More information will be posted as and when we get it.
Well, it's finally on the way. We waited forever whilst A Wrinkle In Time was finally released to various countries on television and now the moment that everyone has been waiting for has finally arrived. As of November 16th, A Wrinkle In Time is being released on DVD and Video in the US and Canada. It is currently unknown as to whether it will be released elsewhere and when.
